HOW TO BUILD UP A CUSTOM MADE ID CARD SYSTEM

It is definitely not new at all in business environments to say that identification badges (even those that are quite basic and do not have any sophisticated security feature in built) are greatly valued amongst business organizations as a means to keep them safe from unscrupulous strangers. Almost every company nowadays use ID cards to identify their employees and know which visitors or guests are in the premises. And if providing their staff members with these identifying devices make them feel secure, it is easy to imagine that having an in house card system will make them feel even safer.

There are plenty of things to consider before building up a custom made ID card system. There are multiple options available in the market and it is easy to be confused by them and not know which is the best choice for your company.

Basic card printer models come with interesting in built security features such as magnetic stripes or bars that can be attached to the surface of the card. More complex card printers enable the user to add embedded chips or encrypted info or holograms without any additional effort. Some card printers can produce a large volume of badges while others can only print a few of them in a regular basis. There are, of course, monochrome and full color card printers, some that allow you to print on both sides of the card at the same time and even some allow you to print over rewritable cards (which can be an interesting money saving feature).

It is also important to devote some time to choosing the ID card software for your company. There are many reputable brands and you should take your time to evaluate what they have to offer. Some of them are better for working on network environments, others have attractive database capabilities while others enable you to produce highly sophisticated and technical ID badges.

Choosing the digital camera is probably the simplest thing to do as you can opt for a basic model as long as it allows you to produce high quality pictures.

Just as simple it is to buy the card stock. Most companies rely  on plastic or PVC badges but there are also  eco friendly cards made of bamboo or recycled plastic that are highly appreciated by companies that care about the environment.
